WHAT IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT GREECE?
The hottest time in Greece are obviously the summer months – June, July and August. However, the months of May and September are also great, when temperatures are milder. During the winter, northern Greece shines through with its snow-capped mountains and tavernas with open fireplaces.
ARE THERE MANY ATMs IN GREECE?
ATMs are many on the minland and on the Greek Islands. In the smaller towns, you may not find them in abundance however, local banks are always available to withdraw money, even with your ATM card.
DO I NEED TO STUDY PHILOSOPHY TO TAKE YOUR PHILOSOPHY TOUR?
No. Our tour (unless modified for educational institutions) is available to anyone who has an interest in Greek philosophy and is willing to learn more about the teachings of ancient Greek scholars.
ARE THE GREEK ISLANDS OPEN YEAR ROUND?
Most of the Greek Islands are open only seasonally, between the months of mid April through to end September. There are some islands which do have hotels open to receive tourism year round. Please contact us for details.
HOW CAN I GET BETWEEN THE GREEK ISLANDS?
Ferries and hydrofoils operate regularly between the Greek Isles. However, given the vast expanse of the Greek Islands, connections between different island clusters can be quite difficult. Touchdown Tours can help you work out the most efficient route to take for the best island experience.
