TERMS & CONDITIONS

GENERAL INFORMATION
All travel arrangements are made by Touchdown Tours on our clients’ behalf and therefore, all such arrangements are subject to the supplier’s (transport/accommodation/airline/tour operators etc.) regulations and conditions. As every supplier has varying booking conditions, please ask your professional consultant for the conditions that apply to your particular trip, and feel free to ask as many questions as you need so you are completely familiar with all information and nuances of booking Terms & Conditions.

Reconfirmation of flights is no longer mandatory. However, airlines and other suppliers (such as hoteliers) can sometimes overbook, for which Touchdown Tours cannot be held responsible. Should this occur, we will endeavour to assist in any way we can. Additional fees may apply.

It is also the passenger’s own responsibility to ensure that all travel details and documents given to him/her for services booked on their behalf are correct. Whilst every effort is made to double-check details, our consultants will not b held liable for errors made by other service providers, nor if the client has not provided us with the relevant, valid documentation. For amendments after official documentation/tickets have been issued, fees may apply.

Touchdown Tours acts solely as a representative of airlines, hoteliers, ground operations and other service providers and, as such, will not be held liable for any injury, damage, loss accident, delay or irregularity caused by defect in any vehicle o through the act or defaults of any company or person engaged in conveying the passing, or in varying out the arrangements for the tour, or otherwise in connection therewith. The insurance of baggage and care of personal articles is entirely the responsibility of the tour property. Touchdown Tours accepts no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delays or changes in air schedules, motor vehicle breakdowns, traffic delays, whether, strikes, or other causes. All such losses shall be borne by the passenger.

PASSPORTS, VISAS & VACCINATIONS
The passenger is obliged to ensure the name of their documentation is precise as per their passport. Tickets and other documentation are issued based on the name given to us by the client. Should the passenger’s name be different on their passport than on their ticket or the documentation, rebooking and reissue fees will apply.

Passport must be valid for a minimum of six (6) months after the intended date of return to Australia. Passports which expire within 6 months of return to Australia may not be valid and the passenger risks being denied boarding or even deportation at their destination.

It is also the passengers’ responsibility to ensure they have all the appropriate documentation for their journey, including visas. We are happy assist in determining visa requirements wherever possible, but the passenger him/her is entirely responsible to ensure they meet all entry requirements for their destination/s. Failure to have the relevant, valid documentation when travelling can result in deportation or refusal of boarding. for which Touchdown Tours will not be held responsible.

Australian government law requires some vaccinations or medication to b taken prior to travelling to some countries. Please check with your doctor for complete, up-to-date information.

TRAVEL INSURANCE
Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all trips, domestic, international and cruising. Should clients need to make a claim on a policy issued by Touchdown Tours, supporting documentation is prepared complimentary. For passengers who have declined travel insurance, or who have made alternative arrangements, a service for of $150 applies to prepare supporting documentation for your claim.

CANCELLATION & AMENDMENTS
Whilst every effort is made to minimise fees being incurred, sometimes it is unavoidable. A list of Professional Service Charges are mentioned below and are in addition to any fees charged by airlines, hotels or other service providers.

· CANCELLATION for airfare only: $250 per person
· CANCELLATION for package: $590 per person (higher for group bookings)

· CHANGES/AMENDMENTS: $55 per person, per amendment

· REISSUE and REVALIDATION: $110 – $220 per person

· GROUP BOOKINGS: Specific penalties apply for group bookings. Please check with your consultant for the penalties that apply to your Group Reservation.

It is important to also note some airfares and packages are non-refundable and non-changeable. Please request conditions specific to your travel arrangements from your consultant, as every trip has different booking conditions.

Touchdown Tours cannot foresee issues that may occur in your life that may necessitate changes. As each case is different, the fees and charges stated above should be taken as approximate ate only.

SEATING
Whilst many airlines allow seat selection free of charge prior to check-in, they also have the ultimate authority to change this seat with or without prior notice. This can be done for a variety of reasons, including (but not limited to) aircraft changes. This also applies to pre-paid seats. Touchdown Tours is not responsible for the airline’s decision in a reallocation of seating.
