DAY 1 – Istanbul
Arrival and transfer to hotel.
DAY 2 – Istanbul
Istanbul Full day tour to include Topkapi Palace (excluding harem), Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, and the Grand Bazaar. Optional: Dinner with belly dancing entertainment. B
DAY 3 – Istanbul – Ankara
This morning you may enjoy an optional tour of St. Sophia Mosque and Bosphorus cruise. Afternoon departure for Ankara around 3pm and late arrival at Ankara. BD
DAY 4 – Ankara – Cappadocia
Morning departure to see the Hittite artifacts in the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations. Visit the Mausoleum of Ataturk, father of modern Turkey. Drive to Cappadocia, touring a 13th century caravan inn en route. Overnight in Cappadocia. BD
DAY 5 – Cappadocia
Early Morning Optional tour: Hot Air Balloon ride over Cappadocia. Experience floating through volcanic valleys, fairy chimneys and caves as the sun rises over Cappadocia. After breakfast, visit Göreme, Avanos, Pasabagi, Red Valley, and enjoy a brief regional pottery workshop in a local cave. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia. BD
DAY 6 – Cappadocia – Pamukkale
Drive to Pamukkale, en route visiting the famous mausoleum of the Sufi philosopher Mevlana. Drive to Pamukkale, dinner and overnight in Pamukkale. BD
DAY 7 – Pamukkale – Marmaris or Antalya
Early morning visit to the unique Cotton Fortress and the white calcium cascades at Pamukkale, and also pay a visit to one of the first spa centers of the ancient world at Hierapolis. Transfer to Marmaris and overnight. BD
DAY 8 – Marmaris – Return
Transfer to pier for ferry to Rhodes or beyond. B
